Data show that foreign\u00a0investment in Greek property has\u00a0more than doubled since last year to\u00a0well over \u20ac1 billion euros, while property-linked residency visas issued\u00a0under Greece\u2019s Golden Visa program\u00a0are up by a third and recently\u00a0surpassed 2,000 in total. The vast\u00a0majority of foreigners are buying\u00a0properties in and around Athens, say\u00a0industry sources, with investors\u00a0coming from China, Turkey, Russia,\u00a0Israel, Egypt, Lebanon and the United\u00a0Arab Emirates.
