In the past two years in\u00a0particular, greater <strong>Athens<\/strong> has seen a revival in everything\u00a0from city center night life to hotel development to\u00a0new hi-tech start-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Development of the <strong>Athens Riviera<\/strong> is taking off with the\u00a0redevelopment of the former Athens airport, a\u00a0mega-project that<!--more--> is estimated to bring in more than \u20ac8\u00a0billion worth of investment and create 50,000 new jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside, the country\u2019s largest marina in the nearby\u00a0suburb of <strong>Alimos<\/strong> is set to be privatized.<\/p>\n<p>Some are even describing Athens as <strong>&#8220;The New Berlin&#8221;<\/strong>, a\u00a0nod to its edgy, new cultural scene.
