Athens

Athens is one of Europe's most famed cities, with a glorious history dating back 2.500 years.
Crowned by the ancient Acropolis and Parthenon, Temple of Athena, Athens offers unique opportunities for discovery: fascinating ancient sites, such as the open-air, Herod Atticus Theatre; Plaka, a charming neoclassical neighbourhood under the Acropolis; the historical city centre and a coastline of relaxing beaches.

The Land

The beauty of Athens is the city's monumental history combined with the atmosphere of a modern metropolis. From Mt. Pendeli, noted for its exquisite marble, in the north down to the port of Piraeus, home of ancient seafarers and today's Greek shipping community, Athens offers contrasting landscapes. The choices for quality lifestyle are many. The northern suburbs offer abundant greenery creating the ideal setting for private residences, as well as spectacular villas, with beautifully landscaped gardens and private pools. Kolonaki in the city center, situated under Mount Lycabettos, is the city-dweller's choice for a fashionable lifestyle. Traditional aristocratic apartments, with airy rooms and high ceilings mix with neoclassical houses and the ultra-contemporary architecture of office buildings and trendy apartments with minimalist décor and rooftop pool.

The Sea

The coastline from Piraeus to Sounion welcomes the waters of the Saronic Gulf. There are organised beaches with every facility, pebbled coves, sandy beaches and calm inlets. There are eight Blue Flag beaches along the coast beginning in Paleo Faliro, with three in Lagonisi, a favourite summer venue with a large community of summer residents.
All along the coast, the southern suburbs are noted for their fine properties, exclusive villas offering sea views; new apartment buildings with spacious, modern apartments of all sizes highlight the beauty of living by the sea.

The Lifestyle

Athens offers every opportunity for a lifestyle next to nature in an environment where cultural happenings and events occur daily. In addition to the sea, Athens has many parks, cafes, restaurants providing every possibility to enjoy life outdoors. There is excellent shopping from prestigious boutiques to modern malls, renowned museums, art galleries. The Athens metro and tram, serving the southern suburbs, provide convenient, public transportation for easily accessing the city.
